The material described in this article deals with waste conversion into energy vectors by pyrolysis, steam cracking, or oxidation of liquid biomass, carried out at small to medium scale. design a bench-scale experimental setup devoted gas phase kinetic data generation tubular reactor under laminar regime close plug flow is detailed based on very simple approach. Validation the designed was successfully within context octanoic acid pyrolysis generating satisfactory measurement repeatability and balances. key positive result that axial dispersion coefficient much smaller gas-phase than liquid-phase, thus allowing sized be reactor. Such feature not well known wider public. Besides, selected as surrogate for carboxylic acids because their role various industrial applications (combustion ethyl biodiesel; production biofuel biosourced chemicals).
